Los Angeles from Runyon Canyon

I always smile when I reach the first overlook point at Runyon Canyon. Above the crowds of Hollywood, you can see all the way into Downtown LA.

The Queen Mary and Flip Flops on Bike Rides

February 17: The Queen Mary and Flip Flops on Bike Rides

I wasn’t planning to go for a bike ride – just a quick spin down to the beach on the bruiser. It was a nice day though, so I took the path up to Shoreline village, to check out the Queen Mary and then all the way back down to the other end of the beach. Then I saw that the path picked up again on 2nd street so I cruised over by PCH then turned it around and moseyed back up the beach to home.

As it turns out I ended up with a 15 mile ride, which made me wonder, does it count as a bike ride if you are wearing flip-flops?

February 14:
Ford – Rose Park
Everybody likes roses on Valentines right? Rose park is a small traffic circle with a park in the middle about a block from my house. This slick fleetside Ford is parked there every evening, its faded paint and old school license plateĀ  slowing time down just enough that we can have a few extra minutes to enjoy the end of the day.
